BMR is not the number
of calories you should consume each day! It's the amount
of calories your body burns in one day, assuming
you did not move out of bed all day.
The total calories your body burns each
day consists of:
Basal Metabolic Rate + Lifestyle Calories
Lifestyle calories are calories burned while performing your everyday
routines (gym workout, housework, light walking, sports, etc.) To maintain your
weight, you should eat within a reasonable range of your total calories burned.
