As BMI increases, the risk for certain health problems and diseases (high blood pressure, diabetes, certain forms of cancer) increases. The CDC has created the following BMI ranges:

BMI Weight Status

< 18.5

Underweight

18.5 - 24.9

Healthy

25.0 - 29.9

Overweight

> 30

Obese
